Saints vs Chiefs Anytime Touchdown Scorer Picks: Johnson, Kelce Offer Best Value

A non-conference clash caps NFL Week 5 wagering when the Kansas City Chiefs host the New Orleans Sains on Monday Night Football.

The total for this primetime contest sits at 43 points, which predicts a low-scoring game between two of the league’s best defenses. But that doesn’t mean we can’t find value in the Saints vs. Chiefs anytime touchdown picks.

I break down the matchups and how they fit into the TD anytime markets, giving my best NFL picks and Saints vs. Chiefs predictions for October 7.

Bonnie Bernstein Is Not An Expert On The Middle East

Bonnie Bernstein, everybody's favorite Jersey sideline reporter, has had a relatively quiet couple of years at ESPN. That is, until a couple of days ago, when she made a bit of a verbal misstep on the Mike and Mike show. Sometimes we wonder if in 25 years we'll have Godwin's Law for inappropriate comments about suicide bombers and/or Osama bin Laden. Bernstein – appropriately! – compared high school basketball stars to Palestinian suicide bombers. Makes sense! "On the June 25th broadcast of the popular morning sports talk radio show "Mike and Mike", the hosts invited Bonnie Bernstein (also an ESPN reporter) to talk about how basketball players growing up through middle school and high school are programmed to not want to pursue a college career, because …

Premier League’s relentlessness has offered no chance to think – until now

Monday was the 81st day of the year, and just the 10th on which none of the 20 English top-flight clubs played a game. The previous day without any fixtures in the Premier League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup, Champions League or Europa League was 5 March, 16 consecutive football-filled days earlier. Other than Fridays, of which six out of 12 have so far been clear of top-level football, the total number of days off in 2021 has been two. Essentially, if you are the type of football fan who likes to stay on top of the sport at the highest level, both domestically and in Europe, it is just as well that you have been in effect banned from leaving your house since Christmas because you would have been tethered to your television anyway.

FA’s Anfield investigation may include attack on Manchester City team bus

The Football Association will open a wide-ranging investigation into events that marred Liverpool’s win over Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday, which may include a formal complaint from the visitors over damage to their team bus.

The FA is awaiting a report from the referee, Anthony Taylor, before deciding whether to charge, warn or take no action against Jürgen Klopp after the Liverpool manager was sent off for remonstrating with the assistant referee Gary Beswick. It is also looking into allegations of coin-throwing and offensive chanting during Liverpool’s 1-0 win.

Arne Slot confirms he will replace Jürgen Klopp as Liverpool manager

Feyenoord’s coach, Arne Slot, has confirmed for the first time that he will succeed Jürgen Klopp as Liverpool’s manager.

An agreement for Slot to replace Klopp has been in place for three weeks but there has been no official announcement while Liverpool prepare to give their legendary manager a fitting send-off at Anfield on Sunday. However, at a press conference on Friday for Sunday’s match against Excelsior, Slot said: “I can confirm that I will become the trainer there next year.

“Until now I was not thinking about this being the buildup to my last match, but that starts coming now. At the beginning of the week you are thinking about training and those kind of things. But the feeling gets stronger now.…

MLB Best Sports Betting Picks and Predictions for Thursday September 12, 2024

We’re in the home stretch for the MLB season, with just over two weeks left in the season. The playoff race is a logjam in each league, with the Guardians and Yankees tied for the American League’s best record and the Phillies just one game ahead of the Dodgers in the National League.Meanwhile, the wild card races still feature several teams jockeying for their slots. There’s also an interesting dichotomy to potentially watch out for: if the Royals and Twins both clinch their playoff spots and can’t catch Cleveland, there’s a possibility that they might engage in a tank-off to try to face the Astros in the wild card round as opposed to facing the second-place AL East team. That’s a discussion Major League Baseball might need to have down the road. For now, there’s value to be…

Wing-Eating Contest Ends With A Pantsing And A Punch In The Face

To clarify: The winning dude-bro gets pantsed. The shirtless loser who does the pantsing gets punched in the face—and seems so surprised to get punched in the face. We've got no details on this other than what you see here, but if that Jacksonville sign in the background is any indication, this happened in Florida!™ Because of course it did. [ The Big Lead] …

It's 2018 And There's Nothing Wrong With Dating A San Francisco 49er

It was a little jarring to see today’s  TMZ video of porn actress Kiara Mia and football player Jimmy Garoppolo enjoying a fancy dinner in Beverly Hills last night. A date with a San Francisco 49er? Couldn’t she do so much better? But the cultural climate has changed. No longer is it considered disgraceful or uncouth to be seen with a San Francisco 49er. The era of  stout men, some of whom have push-broom mustaches, has passed. The Niners have earned some respectability and acceptance in the public eye. They’re even considered a trendy topic of conversation this year. Yes, you might cringe at just hearing the word “NFL.” Who would want their child participating in football, with the injury risks, manipulative management, and overzealous, toxic fanbase? Nonetheless, Garoppo…

The New Orleans Hornets Will Pick First In The 2012 NBA Draft

The New Orleans Hornets, currently owned by the NBA and soon to be owned by Saints owner Tom Benson, will select first in the 2012 NBA Draft (most likely choosing Kentucky forward Anthony Davis). The Charlotte Bobcats, which had the worst winning percenatge in NBA history this past season, will pick second, and the Washington Wizards, which one sportswriter predicted would get the top slot, will pick third. The Brooklyn Nets came up sixth, but the pick was only protected if they made the top 3, so their selection goes to Portland as part of the Gerald Wallace trade. The Cavaliers will pick fourth, after nabbing Kyrie Irving with the top pick last year. As Michael Wilbon put it shortly after the lottery: "Well, well, well. Drew Brees and the bounty hunters, the spotlight's off…
