Week 2 of the NFL season is one of my favorite slates to bet on due to the overreaction from opening results.
Favorites that flopped and underdogs that barked loud in Week 1 see their Week 2 odds impacted more than they should be, and that opens up windows to go against that knee jerk.
That means grabbing some softer lines the second they hit the board or waiting for wagers to pile on one side before buying back the adjustment. That’s what I do with this article every Sunday night as NFL spreads and totals open across the NFL betting industry.
Here are the NFL odds in Week 2 to bet right now and wagers to make later.

Week 11’s matchup between the Arizona Cardinals and Houston Texans could be the biggest bag of cats on the NFL odds board.
Houston continues to climb the power ratings, winning three of its last four games including a 30-27 upset of Cincinnati this past weekend. The Texans enter this homestand with a 5-4 record SU and ATS, in pursuit of an improbable playoff spot.
Arizona hits the road with franchise quarterback Kyler Murray in tow after he made his season debut in a win over Atlanta last Sunday. Murray’s return snapped a six-game losing skid for the Cardinals, drastically changing the way the NFL Week 11 odds think about this non-conference clash.
I break down the point spread and Over/Under total for this head-scratcher and give my best NF…
One of the quickest bets to settle for Super Bowl predictions has also become one of the highest-handle prop bets from oddsmakers: whether or not the opening kickoff will result in a touchback.
The markets for this prop have been wild over the last two years and once Pat McAfee mentions the kicking conditions to his massive audience, the markets will react. However, a lot has changed this year in the kicking game and it’s being reflected in the current Super Bowl odds.
We continue to explore the Super Bowl prop bet market for you here and break down the opening kickoff as part of our Chiefs vs. 49ers predictions and NFL picks for Super Bowl 58 on Sunday, February 11.

A non-conference clash caps NFL Week 5 wagering when the Kansas City Chiefs host the New Orleans Sains on Monday Night Football.
The total for this primetime contest sits at 43 points, which predicts a low-scoring game between two of the league’s best defenses. But that doesn’t mean we can’t find value in the Saints vs. Chiefs anytime touchdown picks.
I break down the matchups and how they fit into the TD anytime markets, giving my best NFL picks and Saints vs. Chiefs predictions for October 7.

Bonnie Bernstein, everybody's favorite Jersey sideline reporter, has had a relatively quiet couple of years at ESPN. That is, until a couple of days ago, when she made a bit of a verbal misstep on the Mike and Mike show. Sometimes we wonder if in 25 years we'll have Godwin's Law for inappropriate comments about suicide bombers and/or Osama bin Laden. Bernstein – appropriately! – compared high school basketball stars to Palestinian suicide bombers. Makes sense! "On the June 25th broadcast of the popular morning sports talk radio show "Mike and Mike", the hosts invited Bonnie Bernstein (also an ESPN reporter) to talk about how basketball players growing up through middle school and high school are programmed to not want to pursue a college career, because …
Monday was the 81st day of the year, and just the 10th on which none of the 20 English top-flight clubs played a game. The previous day without any fixtures in the Premier League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup, Champions League or Europa League was 5 March, 16 consecutive football-filled days earlier. Other than Fridays, of which six out of 12 have so far been clear of top-level football, the total number of days off in 2021 has been two. Essentially, if you are the type of football fan who likes to stay on top of the sport at the highest level, both domestically and in Europe, it is just as well that you have been in effect banned from leaving your house since Christmas because you would have been tethered to your television anyway.

The Football Association will open a wide-ranging investigation into events that marred Liverpool’s win over Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday, which may include a formal complaint from the visitors over damage to their team bus.
The FA is awaiting a report from the referee, Anthony Taylor, before deciding whether to charge, warn or take no action against Jürgen Klopp after the Liverpool manager was sent off for remonstrating with the assistant referee Gary Beswick. It is also looking into allegations of coin-throwing and offensive chanting during Liverpool’s 1-0 win.

Feyenoord’s coach, Arne Slot, has confirmed for the first time that he will succeed Jürgen Klopp as Liverpool’s manager.
An agreement for Slot to replace Klopp has been in place for three weeks but there has been no official announcement while Liverpool prepare to give their legendary manager a fitting send-off at Anfield on Sunday. However, at a press conference on Friday for Sunday’s match against Excelsior, Slot said: “I can confirm that I will become the trainer there next year.
“Until now I was not thinking about this being the buildup to my last match, but that starts coming now. At the beginning of the week you are thinking about training and those kind of things. But the feeling gets stronger now.…
We’re in the home stretch for the MLB season, with just over two weeks left in the season. The playoff race is a logjam in each league, with the Guardians and Yankees tied for the American League’s best record and the Phillies just one game ahead of the Dodgers in the National League.Meanwhile, the wild card races still feature several teams jockeying for their slots. There’s also an interesting dichotomy to potentially watch out for: if the Royals and Twins both clinch their playoff spots and can’t catch Cleveland, there’s a possibility that they might engage in a tank-off to try to face the Astros in the wild card round as opposed to facing the second-place AL East team. That’s a discussion Major League Baseball might need to have down the road. For now, there’s value to be…
