Hundreds of thousands poured out into the streets all over Russia early Sunday to a cacophony of honking and shouting as news came in of Russia s historic Euro 2008 quarter-final win over the Netherlands.

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev congratulated the Russian team on the win, saying that it was a magnificent game and a magnificent victory, the Kremlin press service said.

Fans all over Russia echoed the sentiment in Moscow alone, over 700,000 people ran out into the night to hug passers-by, shoot fireworks and honk horns well into morning, police officials said.

Roberto Mancini says Italy will not look beyond Thursday s play-off semi-final with North Macedonia as they aim to avoid more World Cup qualifying heartbreak.

Italy, then under the management of Gian Piero Ventura, failed to qualify for the last World Cup for the first time since 1958 after losing to Sweden in the play-offs.

Arsenal have posted pre-tax profits of 49.5 million pounds for 2011, thanks largely to the sale of Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri.

Indianapolis found itself down 20-0 after three quarters, tied the game, missed an overtime field goal, and left Houston with the first tie of the NFL season. 

Jacksonville began the season with hope for the future, but former Colts flameout Carson Wentz had other ideas, throwing four-TD passes and the Jags suffered a 28-22 away loss to the Commanders.

Week 2 of the NFL season is one of my favorite slates to bet on due to the overreaction from opening results.

Favorites that flopped and underdogs that barked loud in Week 1 see their Week 2 odds impacted more than they should be, and that opens up windows to go against that knee jerk.

That means grabbing some softer lines the second they hit the board or waiting for wagers to pile on one side before buying back the adjustment. That’s what I do with this article every Sunday night as NFL spreads and totals open across the NFL betting industry.
